Minaret Lodge is a sanctuary, set in a 2 acre park-like
setting, providing luxury accommodation in Wanaka.
Tariff includes accommodation, local taxes (GST of 12.5%), full
breakfast, aperitifs featuring Central Otago wines, and use
of facilities and services as listed in the Lodge Facilities
and Guest Services.

A Place for every Season
The bed and breakfast lodge features a mud brick construction
with plastered finish. It incorporates local schist stone reflecting
the traditional style of the Central Otago region. The décor
reflects a casual elegance with a feel of refinement.
 Located
behind the lodge are the guest room chalets, constructed using
local timbers and non toxic materials, tastefully furnished,
in a setting of tranquil ambience. Each room has fine furniture,
local art, private ensuite, and verandah.

Lodge became the first Wanaka member of Green Globe 21 - the
path to sustainable tourism and is a proud member of the "Heritage
& Character Inns of New Zealand" group and Superior Inns
of New Zealand. Tourism New Zealand's quality assurance agency
"Qualmark" rates Minaret Lodge as  plus
(defined as "Excellent - consistently acheives high quality
levels with a wide range of facilities and services").
To begin the day, enjoy our special gourmet breakfast. Relax
in our secluded sauna and spa, enjoy a game of tennis or petanque.
Unwind with complimentary aperitifs in the lounge with its log
fire or in the reading room with its book and CD collection.
Your hosts
Your hosts, Gary and Fran Tate, have had extensive background
in the tourism industry and have travelled worldwide in pursuit
of their passions for adventure, culture and skiing. They will
be more than happy to share experiences with you, accompany
you on a round of golf or for a days skiing or hiking. We welcome
you to share the pleasures of our unique part of the world.
