In 1992 AJ Hackett Bungy was first awarded the "S" mark by
Standards NZ. In order to maintain our "S" mark we are audited
every 6 months by international auditors; Bureau Veritas.
They look into many facets of our operation including safety,
training, equipment use, recording of procedures and compliance
with the code.
Requirements to become a jump operator with AJ Hackett Bungy
are a minimum of bronze medallion lifesaving certificate, current
first aid certificate, rope and climbing skills, a New Zealand
passenger services endorsement as well as previous experience
within tourism.
In order to become a NZ standards registered Jump Master it
takes 2 years of on site training, as well as an advanced rope
skills course, and pre hospital care course both external to
our training program. The final hurdle for prospective Jump
Masters involves a practical assessment and a written exam conducted
by representatives from the bungy industry external to our company.
On every day at all of our sites there is at least one registered
Jump Master overseeing all jump preparations. |
