You can hire a Personal Kit which includes pillow, pillow case, sleeping bag, bed sheet, towel and tea towel for $35 per person per rental, payable on pick up of the vehicle.
Britz Depot Locations
and Facilities
Britz premises in Auckland and Christchurch have free storage
facilities for suitcases and luggage. Should you wish to carry
your luggage with you, collapsible soft baggage is recommended
as it is easily stored in the motorhome. Comfortable couches,
TV/video, toilets, showers and towels are available in both
Christchurch and Auckland depots allowing you to freshen up
and relax before your travels. Operating hours for Auckland
and Christchurch are 0700 - 1800 hours and 0800 - 1800 for Queenstown,
7 days a week.
Complimentary Transfer
Complimentary transfers to and from Auckland, Christchurch and
Queenstown Airports on the Britz shuttle are available on the
day of uplifting your vehicle and the day of terminating your
hire.
Auckland
Britz provides a complimentary coach transfer every 30 minutes
between the International & Domestic terminals and the Britz
Rentals branch from 0630 to 1830, 7 days a week. Outside of
these times motorhomes can be picked up from the airport by
prior arrangement only.
Christchurch
On arrival, please proceed to the free phone information boards
situated by the baggage collection point in the International
Airport. Using the freephone, contact Britz and a courtesy bus
will be dispatched to collect you from the main airport arrival
entrance. Please allow approximately 10 minutes for the shuttle
to arrive.
Queenstown
All motorhome and Rental Car hires will be dispatched from the
Britz desk at the Queenstown Airport.
Wellington
In addition to our three main branches, Britz offers clients
the opportunity to collect or return their rental vehicle to
our Wellington location. This option is available on request
only and a surcharge will apply.
On-Road Help
In the unlikely event that you will experience any minor mechanical
or operational problems with your vehicle, assistance can be
readily provided through any one of our appointed service agents
throughout New Zealand. In addition to this, Britz offers a
client backup telephone service, should you require the assistance
of a Britz staff member. Freephone 0800 651 080 (within New
Zealand only).
Touring Information
To complement the suggestions and recommendations given by our
professional staff when collecting your vehicle, you will be
provided with comprehensive maps and camping ground information
for both North and South Islands. Extensive information about
major tourist attractions is available.
InterIslander Ferry Crossings
It is permitted for Britz motorhomes to be taken on the InterIslander
Ferry, between North and South Islands of New Zealand. actioNZ-travel
is happy to assist with reservations and recommends advance
bookings especially between November and February.
