This service is available each day between 8am and 5.30pm. There is now a ferry terminal tax of NZ$5 for all rental vehicles collected or dropped off at the Wellington ferry terminal. FREE DELIVERY Free pick up from most hotels/motels within the central city area between 8.30am and 6pm every day. AIRPORT SERVICE A free pick up service off international flights is provided; after clearing Customs, contact the nearest branch by freephoning 0800 800 956 (available between 8am and 8pm each day). A meet and greet service is available on most flights within New Zealand, please advise flight details. ONE WAY RENTALS Between same island branches. Minimum hire 3 days during low season and 5 days during high season. Outside of this, a repositioning fee may apply. LICENCE REQUIREMENTS The driver must present a current approved, full licence and have held it for a minimum of 4 years. Additional drivers must also present their licence at commencement of hire. There is no additional cost for additional drivers. CHILD AND BABY SEATS Child seats are compulsory on New Zealand roads (under 5 years) and may be hired from NZ Rent a Car branches. Please order at time of reservation stating age of child, so correct size may be booked. A fee of NZ$15 per week applies. INSURANCE Vehicle Insurance is mandatory and not included in the rates; it can be paid when picking up the vehicle. There is an insurance excess applicable in the event of an accident, which can be reduced by payment of an additional premium - please refer to Rates. BOND A bond to cover the contractual obligations and the deductible Insurance Excess is required; credit cards accepted. G.S.T INCLUSIVE Goods and Services Tax is a New Zealand tax charge of 12.5% applied to all goods and services. EARLY RETURNS There are no refunds for early returns.
