Nearly 30 percent of New Zealand's landmass is dedicated to
World Heritage Sites or National Parks where countless walks
and tracks of various lengths take you to secret places, well
off the beaten tourist track; through pristine natural wonders,
into rainforests, over volcanic plateaus, along rugged cliffs
and to the highest mountain regions of Australasia.
Hiking New Zealand takes people hiking or trekking New Zealand
style (we call it tramping), to secret places, well off the
beaten tourist track. Our tours suit the active traveller with
an interest in nature, and our guides are chosen for their outdoor
skills and natural history backgrounds. If you are fit and active,
and want to hike into true wilderness, with informative, fun
guides, then our Hiking Tours are the best options available
in New Zealand. |
